I am alive, I promise!

I promise I am alive. My life has been just a tad crazy the last month or so. With in the last month, I finished my student teaching....(I will miss those kids like crazy!)
...I graduated from TCU (when did I get old enough to do that, and where did the last 4 years go?)
....and most recently I have moved from Fort Worth (one of the hardest things I have done...I absolutely loved my roommate and our crazy adventures!)
So, with all of my busy month behind me, I am now trying to find a job, and boy is that a challenge. I am also trying to enjoy my summer vacation! I promise to be a better blogger, by May was just way to busy to be blogging! BUT I am back and ready to go!

Jackpot!

Well, if you are a user of Blogger, then you know that the format has changed on how you write new blogs. So lets see how this goes.
Today, I went shopping to get the rest of the things I need for my graduation party invites, and I hit the jackpot at Michaels. The teacher jackpot that is. I didnt end up getting a thing for the invites, I will end up at Hobby Lobby later this week. So I got a huge jackpot of things that I will need next year in my classroom.
I got:
15 packs of sentence strips (50 in each pack)
9 clock math manipulatives
3 packs of award sheets (24 in each pack)
3 packs of stickers
2 packs of name tags (24 in each)
2 packs of book marks (24 in each)
2 notepads

So now you ask, how much did you spend?
 My long receipt!
Well....drum roll please....
Yep, thats right folks, I spend 11.45. Yes thats eleven dollars and 45 cents!
The average price spent on each package is about .20 cents. The most I spent on an item is .99 cents.
That is my teacher jackpot!

OK, I am hitting publish, lets see how this thing works out!

Bucket List Adventure

Well...Michelle and I have been at it again, working on our bucket list. It sure has been a fun adventure to be on. We still have some things on our bucket list to complete, but here is our latest adventure.

**Take TRE to the Dallas Mavericks Game**
Well, we get to ride the train to Dallas for free (TRE) because we are students! It was a nice trip, and we didn't have to sit in traffic and try to find for parking! It took us the same amount of time, and we just got to sit back and relax!
The ride there was calm, and quiet. I cant say that the ride home was that nice. It was actually an entertaining ride home! When we got off the train, which drops us off right in front of the AA Center, we walked around to Victory Park to take a picture!
We had a guy from England or Australia take our picture. He kinda cut off my head, but we didn't feel like we could ask him to take it again! So this is our picture from Victory Park, with my head shaved off!
We had a blast at the game, even though we were way up high, we enjoyed the game! The best part is the Mavs won!! We also saw Khloe Kardashian...I like her, but cant stand Lamar! Glad he is off the Mavs!
Another one off the bucket list. Actually we have marked a few off our list! Just gotta blog them!

Green Thumb!

Lets, catch you guys up. Back on March 24, I decided that I was going to plant some flowers by our front door (in a pot) and I was going to attempt to grow some Patio tomatoes! It had been warm here, so I thought it was ok to plant some things (seeing as EVERYTHING was/is in bloom). I went to Home Depot, and searched for some shade flowers, and my tomato plant. I prayed that I got my mom's amazing green thumb. I think I may have it, but we will see! This is what I came home with...
I dont know what the flowers are, but they were for shade only. I am happy to say that the purple flowers are still alive and doing great, but the little white ones, are dead...or are dying... :( (click the pic to see a closer up)
Next, I planted my tomato....Here is the pic on the day I planted them,.
This next picture was taken 3 weeks later...
From my research, patio tomatoes are suppose to be short and busy, however this one keeps growing taller! I am happy it is growing, but I can't wait to get some yummy tomatoes from it!!
I am pleased to say that I think I got my mom's green thumb. I am hoping by early May to have some tomatoes, and I hope the purple flowers keep growing/ re-blooming!

Have you planted anything this spring?

PS, Like my new header?? I will post about our Rangers game soon! Lots to catch up on! :)

MIA again...sorry

Ok, sorry I have been MIA again. Let me catch you up on my insane life at the moment. I am still student teaching, however now I am in the 1st grade. I do miss my 3rd graders, but I know I will fall in love with my firsties again! I went to Waco this last weekend to visit my Waco family. It was a nice weekend trip of some girls shopping, natural juice drinks, and just relaxing. On my way home I took the service road most of the way back to Fort Worth just so I could stop and snap a few pics of the bluebonnets! I love them, and find them beautiful!
Then last night, after I had dinner with a few friends, I was walking back into my apartment and I dropped my phone... nothing happened to the physical apearance of the phone. However, my blackberry got what the people at the spring store called "white screen of death"....so I was phoneless until about 5 today, when they just gave me a new phone after trying to replace the screen, and resent the software. It was horrible, I couldn't get ahold of my mom (since her new job makes that difficult) and I needed our pin to the account to get it fixed! Thankfully Sprint let me tell them her address and out old number that was on our account, and a few tears. I got a new blackberry, just in black (I could have gotten it in purple but I would have had to wait till Friday or Saturday for it to come in).
Then today, was an insane weather day here in Fort Worth. Who would have thought it was fun to be in the duck and cover position with 21 first graders for 2 hours? haha...no fun at all! But we are all safe, and we didn't ever get hit by a tornado. However there were lots of tears, bored kids, and one stressed out student teacher!  There was some flooding by my apartment, and a few trees down by the school.
This week I have a few exciting things planned, the Mavs game, and the Rangers game! I am kinda excited! Look for some pictures to come :)
