Happy Birthday America!

In past 4th of July's I have spent it at camp in Souther Ohio....in Big Spring watching fireworks...or in Ohio with the family laying on a blanket watching fireworks.... however this year I did a first! I stayed home alone...and just relaxed...it was just after the Vegas trip, so I was tired and didn't mind it a bit! I sat infront of the TV with this big bowl...
yes, a large bowl of watermelon! Yum...what is more 4th of July than this! (excuse my mess, I was also crafting while watching Meet the Faukers) While I was watching TV, I heard what I knew was fireworks (as there was a show the night before and another one on the 4th) however, this show was much closer than the one from the night before!
It seemed to be at the end of my street! It was so neat! I could even hear the music that was being played with it at the park! People were parked up and down the street next to my apt...I think it was at the Country Club by my apt!
This show was much longer and better than the one that was the night before and the one that would follow...
It was so perfect because....
I just had to walk out my front door to see the show! I brought my patio chair out and sat and watched. I didnt have to fight the crowd or anything! The downside...I spent my 1st 4th of July alone...I guess there is a first for everything! Happy Birthday America!
Even though I was alone...it was a great 4th!
Happy Birthday America!

Vegas part II

So our third day in Vegas, Bryan and I got up kinda late, and enjoyed just lounging in the room before catching lunch at Earl of Sandwich (fav place from down town disney) that was in the hotel, then found our friends!
This was the view that we woke up too! How nice! See the mountains way in the distance?
This was by the crystal ball hanging in the casino part of the hotel! Meg did an awesome job by catching it when it was purple!
This is Meg! She is such a sweet girl! We just hung around a few casinos then got ready for Celine Dion, and had dinner at Caesars Palace...
This was on our way to dinner and the cool spiral escalators...
down we go! So neat!
After dinner we went to see Celine Dion...she was amazing...we couldn't take pictures inside, but lets just say, it was what I expected plus more! I cried during the first and last song...amazing!
After the concert! This was the best picture we could get lol...(i loved my Vegas skirt!)
After the concert we went to the Cheesecake Factory for desert and to watch the moving statue show! Bryan and I split a piece...
3 a.m by a cool chandelier thing at our hotel, about to go up to our room after gambling our last night in Vagas...I was so tired...
The last morning in our room!
Bryan loved our room soo much he didnt want to leave.... honestly it was one of the best vacations ever...I loved it!
On our way to lunch at Cafe Bellagio!
We stopped to take a few pictures of Paris behind! :)
This painting was made out of ALL living plants...it was so cool!
One of my favorite pictures....why...because I caught Bryan laughing...he wanted to touch the water jumping over the walk way, and he got a shower! We both had a great laugh...one of many on this trip!
Can you see what we were trying to do?
Our awesome Hotel...we will definitely be staying here again...that is until Bryan can afford for us to stay across the street at the Bellagio!
Vegas was an awesome vacation...it was the first that Bryan and I have taken alone...and was exactly what we needed...not one fight, argument or even any griping! It was perfect! I think we have found a place we both would love to escape to on a long weekend!
See you soon Las Vegas! We love you!

Viva Las Vegas Part I

Ok, so at the end of June, Bryan and I flew out to Vegas, for 4 days of fun...and mainly to see Celine Dion, and my friend Meg.
This was our bed at Planet Hollywood...it is hard to see in the picture, but it had a Eggplant colored headboard and the square on the comforter was also eggplant....for those of you who know me well, know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE purple! I want to recreate this as I need a headboard on my bed :)
(This bed was also the best bed I have slept in in a long time...it didn't make my back hurt and I slept straight through the night!)
This was our amazing bathroom! I never watched TV from the tub, however I did while I was getting ready as the Casey Anthony Trial was on, and I was OBSESSED! However I did take a bath and watch the strip and fountain show at night...
Because this was our view from our room and bathroom!
Bryan has been wanting to take action shots of me lately... This was one of them....I was putting my phone in my clutch when he called my name! We were at the Vanezian to watch the Blue Man Group...they were HILARIOUS by the way! We enjoyed the show other than it was at 10pm Vegas time, so it started at 12am Texas time...uhhggg...
On our way home, I took this picture, of Bryan's favorite hotel!
This was the complimentary picture we got at lunch! At a restaurant we stubbled upon at our hotel! Bryan said they had the best buffalo chicken wrap he has ever had!
The next day we decided to hotel hop and see what we could find...well at the Cosmopolitain in my typical gambling fashion, I choose a machine that "calls me" and at random....I was loosing at one machine so I took my money and turned around to find the I love Lucy Machine...I started to play and turned my 5 dollars into 190 dollars!
Next we headed to the Aria, and had desert at a bakery that we told was amazing! That it was! This was a triple chocolate desert! Yumo! (I was also playing with the settings on my camera)
This was outside of Aria, with a cool water wall!
Bryan was having fun again taking pictures of me!
I love the smile on his face!
A cool bird chair was out there as well!
We hit up some other hotels before we headed to Paris for dinner! My cousin Sam, who was in Vegas a few weeks prior told me this place was a must! And she was right! My drink was delicious (anything with fruit juice and rum is good to me lol) then I got a Le Blue...which was a blue cheese burger! YUM! It was just as good as she said!
After dinner we watched a few shows at the Billagio, and waited on my friend Meg to arrive!
I was also messing with my camera settings again! Love this picture!
YAY! Meg arrived! I met her my Freshman year at TCU! I love her! We got a few drinks at the Cosmo! I had a Rum Sunrise lol... after a few drinks we headed back to our hotel to go to bed! The next day was Celine Dion so I didn't sleep to much!

This gives me the creeps!

This Article from Yahoo, tells the top beaches in America with the most sharks...well the ONE in Florida is New Symerna Beach with 13 attacks (unprovoked) this year.... why does this give me the creeps?
(click on it to make it bigger, you can always do that with all of my pictures!)....but see those specs in the water boogie boarding...that would be ME and Beth....in the sharky water! EEK....To catch the waves we were waist and shoulder deep at times...
(Dont make fun of my AWESOME Pirate Boogie board....we had to use what was at the house we rented...lol I used it until a unlucky kid left his on the beach one night and I snagged it)
Yay for boogie boarding!  HA and we thought the Jelly Fish were our only problem... I would like to know the sharks population before I swim next time...although I was addicted to boogie boarding...I even made Bryan do it when we went back a few weeks ago AND....I plan on doing it at Schlitterbahn on Thursday ;)

I am at home for the weekend, I will probably blog a few times we will see :)

Florida II: Magic Kingdom

Ok, now that the Apartment is cleaned (a long one needed!!) I can blog! I wouldn't let myself blog until the thorough cleaning was done!
Ok, it was our last full day in Florida, so we saved the best park for last! We hit up Magic Kingdom for a day full of fun...and a night full of rain....
All of us young people had our ears made and on!
There was only a 5 minute wait to see Mickey and Minnie...so we decided to stop in and take a few pictures with them!
Then we hit Stitch...The Laugh Floor (Bryan's favorite), and Buz's ride, along with Space Mountain
We hit up the rides in Fantasy Land...Bryan's cousin took this of us during "Its a Small World"...I love it!
and then Adventure Land, where we took a stop to look at the crowns and take pictures...The guys loved this stop...not! Bryan was going to go back and buy the one I had on for me, but he would have missed the parade!
Thankfully there were 2 night time parades... because the first one was rained out! The rain/ humidity made the fireworks not shoot off to high, but it still made my heart skip a beat!
Waiting on the parade to come...Oohh this is Bryan..never taking a good picture on the first take!
It was a great 1st trip to Magic Kingdom with Bryan...we plan to go on our own Disney Vacation after/ during my first year of teaching!
