Ok, I am going to take about a week and a half off from my blog. I have a major project for school that has been encompassing the majority of my life at the moment. But, I will be back on the 4th of February with lots of new posts. Some recipes, some pictures of travels, new plans for the new year...but I promise new and exciting things. I just need to focus on this project and surviving the next week and a half! Thanks guys! See you in a few days!

Back on Track

This week, now that I am back to my normal life, I am back on track with the good old clean eating! It very hard to do that around my family in Ohio. I still at healthy, and about 6 times a day, but I wasn't as strict as I normally am. But this week I am back on track! The weather has been so nice here that I have been doing things (working out) outdoors! I really need new tennis shoes, but that will have to wait for a little while...I can not work this semester due to my student teaching, so Im on a little tighter of a budget. Clean eating is coming before new tennis shoes! So with that said, here is my dinner for tonight, and what I plan for lunch tomorrow!
This is a spring mix, with tomatoes, feta cheese, craisins, and grilled chicken (that I grilled Monday night). I then add Balsamic Vinegar, EVOO, and salt/pepper! Its delicious!

With the unknown plans for spring break, now is the time to get back on track so if I end up on a beach, I am in swim suit shape!

Vegas III

Here is to the last part of the Vegas posts! Then I will start on Christmas and New Years....man I feel behind.
On our last night to stay in Vegas, we made reservations and headed to Olive, at the Bellagio. It was delicious! Think olive spread for you bread, and lobster pasta with my favorite, asparagus. I forgot my camera on this night..ooopp! We were running late and I didnt have time to run back up to the room! Wanna know the worst part? We sat out on the balcony at Olive, and could see the fountains (dont worry they had heaters).
But after we went back to the room to change we came back to watch a few shows!
Bryan and I between shows!
Love this picture! I plan on framing it!
This was on our morning in Vegas. We got brunch at Cafe Bellagio! I had pancakes and this...
I wouldnt have gotten it, but the lady at the table next to us go it, and it looked delicious! If you cant tell this is French Onion Soup! One of my favs!
Bryan and Roshan waiting in line to be seated for lunch!
This tree was massive, but beautiful!
They change this painting out by seasons I believe. This is made of real flowers... remember the one from the summer?
TCU was playing in their bowl the day we left, and look what I found at the Las Vegas Airport? A MASSIVE horned frog! How awesome!

++ On a new note, the roommate and I are trying to determine where we will go for Spring Break this yea. Key West, Vegas, San Francisco, a cruise....we dont know, it changes daily...++
Today was the start of my FINAL semester in College...EEK! I start student teaching the first week of Feb!

Sick...

Sorry I have not been updating about Vegas, but I got a horrible stomach bug this last week. It was a great way to clean out after all the holiday junk. (Just joking) Now that I am feeling better, I got to fight with Southwest Airlines because the didn't loose ONE bag, but BOTH of my bags....lovely huh? I will be back in the normal swing of things on Sunday, and will do another Vegas update and a few Christmas/ New Years updates.

Hope you are all having a fabulous start to your new year, and that you all healthy!

Vegas Part II

On our second day in Vegas, we did the hotel hoped. This trip we wanted Bryan's friend to see Vegas, and we wanted to make it down by Treasure Island. So we started at Caesars Palace.
In Vegas you do, tons of walking. We walked through the mall at Caesars, and gambled a little here and there.
I think that these escalators are soo neat!
This was at the Wynn, I fell in love with the way it looked. It was beautiful!
I just loved the flower balls!
We eventually made it to the Venetian, where I read on line that they had a pretty neat Christmas show.
So, we hung around and watched it!
They had some pretty creepy walking "candy canes"
This tree was so neat! It had lights and huge bulbs, like the ones on a ceiling fan. They had dancing statues, and a laser light show with music. At one point they played "When You Wish Upon a Star" and I turned to Bryan and said oo man this is neat, its like Disney but better, because its Vegas! He laughed pretty hard at that one. They also had a ice skating rink and hot cocoa stands, to make it feel just like Christmas!

Las Vegas

Ok, sorry for the delay, but with the holidays, its been quite crazy around here! I have sat down to write this 3 or 4 times now. So I am going to start to blog about Vegas. I do believe that it will take a few days to get through it all! We spent 4 days 3 nights there, and it was a fun packed full vacation. It was so neat to see all of the Christmas themed decor up in the hotels! We all know how much I love the Christmas season, and all that it brings!
When we arrived, we checked in (got a nice upgrade for FREE), then grabbed dinner, and began to hotel hop. The first hotel we hit up was the Aria.
Then we headed to watch a few Bellagio fountain shows. They were mainly to Christmas music, which if you know me, you know I was in heaven!
Bryan's childhood best friend, Roshan, joined us on this trip. It was his first time to go to Vegas, and I think he loved it!
After watching a few fountain shows, we met up with a friend of Bryan's from SMU, and we hung out with him and a few of his friends until the wee hours of that morning!
